Bulletin TENANT – Issue #11

The BULLETIN TENANT issue 11, 2021. In it, we touched on topics that we consider essential for determining everything that we as active and organized citizens have been doing in the past years. In the first place is the question of political rights as acquired, not just “inherited” and “implicit”, which in these busy days is posed as one of the key issues of the action of the increasingly numerous civic initiatives and groups of citizens organized to a greater or lesser extent around someone of (mainly urban) problems that we detect in the city of Novi Sad. The articulation of these spontaneous actions must also be political, and this is the position we advocate and defend since the first steps and performances we took as activists more than ten years ago.
The red thread of this issue runs through the other contributions in which we invite citizens to participate in something that, in many earlier texts, published both in print and in electronic form, we have been calling for a few months now the campaign of inviting citizens to actively (as voters, proposers, but and candidates) include in the upcoming elections for local community councils, which should be held at the end of June or the beginning of July this year. That’s why we continued, as we will do in the following issues, to invite people to get active in these elections, which are elections only in name, but not in essence – at least for a while, until they turn them into a classic election procedure. They are civic.
